Trinity Lutheran Church says

Trinity Lutheran Church is located just one block east of the beautiful historic courthouse square in Carthage, Illinois, at the intersections of East Main and Washington Streets. Three buildings, along with a large parking lot, take up a full third of a city block. The church, (cornerstone laid 13 September 1878), is the oldest structure on the property. The Parish Hall, located east of the church, was dedicated in 1970, with the two buildings joined together by the Welcome Center, which was completed in 2004.
